I got a text from the team today...
From Gombe,
today we started by visiting the center for mentally handicaped in Mirinda (sp?), a little ways outside of Bondo. That was an amazing experience! I will write more about it tomorrow, but I think the feeling was unanimous that this was probably our best stop on our journey so far.
Later in the morning we did a few house visitations where we broke into two groups and stopped to visit and pray with people who were in need. Each of our groups got to pray for someone to receive Christ!
We visited a fishing village on Lake Victoria and did two more house visitations. We also got to learn about the vision a local pastor had to build a church there in the village.
We drove back over near the Gombe school and did a couple more house visitations before heading back to our hotel in Bondo.
It was an 11 hour day, so everyone seems pretty tired out tonight. We will send more when we get to Nakuru.
